I’ve been to Japan many times in past years, but not since COVID and never during summer (except once when I was there for work for a few days).
Will be doing a 2-week trip in August, flying into Tokyo, followed by 4-5 days of Scuba diving. Post-diving, will be back to Tokyo after with another week to hang out, do some sightseeing. I will also have 2 friends who are in Japan for the first time. Looking for interesting summer activities / sights that we could explore?
We’ll probably spend 2-3 days in Tokyo, so that leaves 2 days or so for 1 destination outside Tokyo without trying to cram too much around mid-Aug. Would appreciate it if I could be given some suggestions to explore further, interesting activities, destinations etc.? Thanks!
