Hi everyone! I’m a master’s student from Italy, I plan on graduating in around a year and a half and I would love to write my master’s thesis in Japan. I would either need to have a thesis advisor in a Japanese university or work/internship in a company or research institute in Japan (both options are possible as we both have an academic thesis or working thesis option).
I’m very confused about the whole process. Does anyone have any experience with something like this?
I understand that I will have to reach out to professors and/or companies myself, but I’d like to know more about other people’s experiences.
For reference I’m studying statistics (biostatistics to be precise) and I should be able to have a Erasmus Extra Eu scholarship (before applying I need a place to go to). I’m working on my Japanese, I don’t know exactly how good I’ll be next year but I expect to be able to have a conversation without struggling (maybe not in business Japanese).
