Anyone been to either of these (or both) and have any insight into which is better for a couple?
Here’s what I’ve found so far:
Suiun
– 3 private onsen available for couples to reserve
– Public onsen looks nicer
– Ramen post dinner
– Private onsen, more open views
– 2 twin beds, separate
– No meals in room – public dining, seems crowded/loud
– Cheaper and more budget friendly spa services
– 5 min uphill walk from gora stn
Gora hanaougi madoka no mori
– Epic reviews, flawless service
– Private onsen, more constricted views due to slats for privacy
– Dinner served in room in larger rooms but $$$$
– Ride from station free – hotel shuttle
– Only 1 M or F onsen, nowhere couples can go together except one in room
– Private onsen with wood barrier
– Better food\* (foodie here)
