I am moving to Japan in 6 months and am looking to boost my understanding (currently a little below N3 level). To do this I have set the goal that I will start watching some movies/series with English subtitles for a while and will progress to Japanese and, eventually, no subtitles at all.
So I am looking for a list of good thrillers and resources to watch them (e.g. atm am watching Giri/Haji on netflix)

If you enjoyed squid game at all, Alice in borderland (the live action) is available on Netflix! Not sure if it fits your exact idea for thriller, but figured I’d mention it.
idk if you like anime but i’ve heard monster is a good thriller and it’s on netflix, at least in the uk
Kokuhaku is a really great thriller movie based on a novel by Kanae Minato highly recommend.
Kokuhaku and Shirayuki-hime Satsujin Jiken are on Netflix.
