  1. 26C, Give me a f…. break. Japanese kids are so weak nowadays. That what comes from staying indoors all the time, playing video games.

  2. I guarantee a school rule about students not being allowed to drink water outside of designated breaks was involved in some way.

  3. Times have changed since the oyagis that run Japan were young. It is now much hotter earlier and it stays hotter longer. But they refuse to change anything so expect more of this in the future.

  4. 39 students?
The hell , sounds like they went Full metal jacket boot camp.

  5. Another student passed out earlier this week on the news. The next day I asked some of the teachers why don’t they change from summer to fall sports day??? They looked at me like I had two heads and said, “But it could rain!! Maybe a typhoon.” A rain day versus child passing out due to heat stroke. Yeah what was I thinking? Stubborn traditions will get kids killed one day.

  6. In todays news, when the teacher was asked why he didn’t take the heat into consideration, he responded with, “because I was told nothing about the heat. I was only told to do sports day practice, so we did sports day practice.” Another reporter asked if he thinks on his own, but this question seemed to cause the teacher to short-circuit as he became very confused, then he started to convulse and bleed from the nose

  7. WHY do they hold the sports days in summer here I just don’t get it.

‘Physical exercise event held outside? Let’s do it when it’s stupidly hot! :)’

I guess the thinking behind it is there is slightly less chance of rain?
