I’m going to Kanazawa from the 18th to 20th September, primarily to facilitate a day trip to Shirakawa-go. Is this schedule (for day 1) packing it in too much? Are there any must-dos I’m missing?
**Day 1**
8:41 – 10:43 – Thunderbird/Hokuriku to Kanazawa
11:15 – Kanazawa Castle Park
13:00 – grab some lunch from a konbini, chill at D.T. Suzuki
museum
14:20 – Myouryuji
15:00 – Dander back through Nishi Chaya and Nagamachi
16:00 – Nomura Samurai Residence
**Day 2**
8:10 – Bus to Shirakawa-go
9:25 – Arrive in Shirakawa-go, Gassho Zukuri Minkaen >
Hachiman Shrine > Observatory > explore villge until bus out
3:10 – Bus back to Kanazawa
**Day 3**
8:00 – Kenrokuen Garden
10:58 – Shinkansen to Tokyo, get to the Ryogoku Kokugikan in time to catch Makuuchi bouts
