  1. What’s the point of collecting all this crap and then letting it fall in to disrepair ?

  2. The notion of building homes with the plan to abandon and/or demolish in 30-40 years is quirky. Then again, I suppose that’s a carry-over from a time when homes had to be able to be built quickly due to loss from fire or earthquake.

My girlfriend and I have been looking at $60k homes in Japan. Would love to live in a small town near the water.

  3. This house is gorgeous… sad to see it fall to abandonment. I feel like someone should be able to restore this.

  4. For a min i thought this was yhe actual house and his house was like a whole art piece, with broken glass, scattered stuff, overgrown fauna and dust everywhere Lmao. These days modren art pieces are just like that so i was so confused till i came to the comment section and found out its abandoned

  5. Does anyone can provide us the history behind that? Who’s the owner of the house?

  6. It’s hard to ascertain just what goes inside people’s heads. Some people with wealth have an overriding need to display it…or merely spend it. Some people see wealth as having gold toilets (Trump) or, in this case, a Caligula complex.

  7. Ok serious question. What happens to all the stuff? I’m always surprised when I see the items untouched by Tweakers or thieves. Often the items left in these abandoned mansions are worth tons of money. I would assume that, regardless of the mansion being abandoned, it’s still illegal to remove items from the home?

    So many questions!

  8. I have a feeling that being a millionaire in yen doesn’t mean what it means.
