I teach at public schools, 5th and 6th graders, as well as junior high school students. Twice per semester, I’m tasked with preparing something for the ‘English club,’ and most of the students are 1st graders. I really don’t like it… It almost never goes smoothly. When it comes to very young children who basically don’t know any English, I struggle to come up with good ideas. Any suggestions?
