Hope I can ask this here.
Is there anyone from non-English speaking country who have recently experienced applying for Aussie tourist visa online while in Japan and being granted visa?
As a background, my Japanese husband is going to fund our trip, so I may have to submit his bank statement, 戸籍謄本 or 住民票 etc. Most of the documents necessary are in Japanese or in my native language, and after some googling I’m certain they have to be translated to English.
The question is, will it be a problem if I translate them personally? Or does it have to be done by translation company in Japan?
Edit: sorry forgot to mention that I’m from an SEA country so need to apply sub 600 visa.

Are you sure you need that info for an ETA e-Visa? Generally the process only requires passport info. and personal details (address, contact, etc.)
Edit: OP added more info. They dont qualify for an e-visa.
When I applied for an Oz tourist visa, I asked my work translator to translate all relevant Japanese documents. I asked him to hanko the documents and write his phone number. I don’t know if self translation is accepted.
