Hi! I will be traveling to Kanazawa for the Hyakumangoku Festival and while I am extremely excited that my Japan trip dates lined up with this festival I’m also a bit concerned that I won’t also get to enjoy the regular sightseeing I’m interested in (Higashi Chaya District, Kenrokuen Garden, Omicho Market). How busy will it be and are there any tips to best enjoy the festival itself as well as how to approach this other sightseeing? Would it be possible do to on Sunday as it seems the main part of the festival is Fri night and Sat? Also is it hard to get a train ticket arriving to Kanazawa on Fri May 31 and departing on Sun June 2? I was hoping to book my seats when I arrive in Osaka next Monday. Thank you very much!
