I have dual citizenship US and another country (not Japan, of course). I’d like to invest in NISA and/or iDeco. If I tried signing up, is there anything stopping me from just saying I’m not American and using my other passport? Or do they use your zairyu card for ID? (My nationality there is listed as US unfortunately). If this is illegal, sorry for the post, I just think the US rules and government overreach are very stupid. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this.
