Let’s hear some positive comments for the Japanese people

While this sub is a good place to get things off one’s chest (I’ve done it myself), I think it’s also important to remember what’s good.

Idly scrolling through social media today, I came across a fairly common sight: a thread about self-entitled plane passengers who consider that it’s perfectly acceptable to aggressively (or passive-aggressively) demand of another passenger – someone they probably don’t even know – that they exchange seats, for what is almost certainly a completely egotistical reason, often using their revolting offspring as a pretext. Then getting into a huff and acting outraged when the other passenger rightly refuses, or, better still, tells them where to stick it.

While reading this, I had a thought: *I simply can not imagine this happening on a flight of mostly Japanese passengers.*

OK, just because I can’t imagine it happening doesn’t mean it never happens, but it would strike me as unusual in the extreme. If it’s happened to anyone here, I’ll happily stand corrected, but I maintain my assertion that this is just not the kind of behaviour you’d expect of the Japanese.

That’s just one example, so let’s show some appreciation for the locals!
