I have been planning on working and looking at moving to Japan for the last several years. I have been several times and made some work connections. I’m currently a Zookeeper and have my degree and roughly 8 years of experience currently. From research and talking with keepers in Japan it appears starting pay is around 250k a month (at Ueno in Tokyo), compared to my current salary of around 30k post taxes, and goes up from there based on experience. I have a decent savings, but is the idea of getting a visa and immigrating too long of a shot with the pay and my type of degree.
