Which way is the best way to store thawed out tuna blocks?

I have always stored and refrigerated tuna blocks in the second picture, is there anything wrong with storing like this in the first picture sitting in it’s watery juices. If someone could explain and or explain the best method of storing tuna. Just trying to assure costumers get the best quality of fish they can recieve.
