Hi all, looking to move and have found a house. However, fudosan has tacked on ¥40K for spraying the house with insecticide. While not unheard of he’s saying it’s compulsory. Consulted friends who are realtors here and they say it’s usually not compulsory and he’s trying to pull a fast one. Can I try negotiate down? Sure I can try but has anyone experienced this before (i.e. it being compulsory) and successfully got it removed?
Unfortunately the house is only listed with one realtor otherwise we’d just use another who wouldn’t charge us.
