I have a guaranteed scholarship for my master’s studies. How likely am I to be admitted to the graduate school?

For a little bit of background, the application for admission to the graduate school is SEPARATE from the application for scholarship. Although a selection committee within my chosen university was created to handle the scholarship application process.

The result of my application for the scholarship at a university in Kyoto came out earlier and I have succeeded, which kind of puts me in a tricky situation, i.e. guaranteed scholarship with pending application for a masters program. (This is not MEXT)

I am really keen to be successful as well in my application to the graduate school. Otherwise, it’s going to be a wasted opportunity.

The result came out before I finalised and submitted my application, which I have supported with a proof that I have a guaranteed scholarship.

Is rejection even with a guaranteed scholarship not really unheard-of? Do I have a huge chance?
