I studied abroad in Japan a couple of years ago, and when I arrived me and my fellow students were told about the national pension scheme. I didn’t think much about it because, unlike them, I was not yet 20, and I was going to be leaving the country a month after I turned 20 – which I did.
Should I be worried about the one month of pension I technically owe? I’m only asking now because I’m starting a new job in my home country that requires a Police Certificate from Japan, and I don’t know if it will come up on that.
Thank you!
