I’m 21 M traveling solo to Singapore and Japan. I have already bought the tickets and have a rough sketch of what I wanted to visit while being there.
I wanted to ask for advice and opinion regarding my itinerary in Japan. I think I could easily add some more places to visit and if you look at the itinerary below I also have 2 days unplanned as well as unplanned days of transit to and from different cities. Days of transit I left unplanned on purpose not knowing how long it might take while keeping in mind that if I have strength and time for example after arriving in tokyo I’m gonna just move ahead some of the points that are planned for next day or just wander around the neighborhood near my lodging place.
But that still leaves me with two unplanned days and after reading posts on this group I might just spend one or both of them in one of the onsen towns resting. I am aware that some of the places that I plan to visit are overrated but well i’m gonna decide if I want to experience them when I get there, for example tokyo tower I read there are way better vantage points and well I can just stroll next to it without climbing on top.
So my question boils down to, do you have any additional cool places to visit or may be a better way to spend those two unplanned days as well as do you think I have planned too many places to visit or too little. I do consider myself fairly fit so altho almost 4 weeks of constant walking is not easy it’s doable (also I’m gonna be traveling with a hiking 70l backpack instead of luggage and a smaller one for normal daily trips).
