I recently got a job and moved from Kyoto to Osaka to start working. They want me to open a bank account with mizuho. I did the application online and mizuho sent me a letter in the mail to fill out the application I just did online, on paper. There was no return envelope so I just went there and they said I need to make a reservation online (after checking the FATCA American tax stuff), and that the earliest would be in a few weeks. Can I just not do this? Are they going to fire me or refuse to pay me?
I already have a Sony bank account but they can’t deposit to their. Or won’t. I didn’t really ask.
