How are these dried fish traditionally used?

  1. Been interested in these since I’ve seen them. I read the ingredients and they are seasoned with salt + sugar. Wondering if they’re eaten as a snack with beer or used for dashi.

  2. You usually just eat them like that as a snack (it’s sweet but hard so you gotta chew until it gets soft). They go well with beers.
    For these ones in particular, it says in red block with white font to eat as is.
