Hello!
I am full time salaried employee for a company, but recently we realized that the work necessary to operate the company can be completed in 2-3 days per week rather than full 5.
Because of this, my company wants to change me from full time employee to part time, but I’m afraid this will affect my visa status.
I have specialist in humanities visa and I’m also kind of paranoid that they’re trying to change my contract status to fire me without having to pay for my unemployment / just phase me out quietly.
Been talking to a lawyer and they’re saying the best thing to do is take a pay cut on my current contract before changing my employment status.
Anyone have any experience with something similar or any resources …?
