I’m headed to the mother land! (Not mine, per se, but someone’s!) on June 4th until June 26th. Been looking forward to this trip for 20 LONG years.
I never thought I’d see the day when it was so inexpensive to travel there on the dollar. And incidentally, I’ve been in the market for a new acoustic (zercote, indian rosewood, etc.) or a vintage synth (which just came up on account of me all of a sudden wanting one).
Do any of you have any tips on where in Japan I could find great deals on acoustic guitars or synthesizers? I’ll be in Tokyo for one week (then Takayama and Shirakawago) and then Kyoto for a week and Okinawa for a week.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated! (if acoustic, I’d be hoping to get enough of a deal to get a nicer wood less available in the states to counter balance the shipping costs and still end up with a deal on the exchange rate…this is at least how I’m justifying this to myself).
