Can anyone help explain this to me – I’m currently staying in an AirBnB in a fairly built up area of Kyoto.
Just walked to the shops and looked around the corner and a group of around 10 police officers on foot (flashing red lights + torches, ‘police’ marked on their uniforms) came around the corner following behind me.
One was announcing something on a megaphone with the other hitting some kind of bell behind him, my sister, who i was with, speaks a little bit of Japanese and thought it sounded like a curfew but wasn’t totally sure.
Does anyone have an explanation for this? Can give more detail if needed.
