I’m a fluent N1 certified, DLPT level 3/3/3/, Japanese/English native level speaker with a top secret clearance, bachelors degree, flexible work ethic, yet here I am scrapping the bottom of the barrel for work opportunities and getting no response. I used to be stationed in Hawaii and got hired left and right for part time gigs just for speaking japanese. Now I come to main land and plan to start contractor work and I get absolutely no responses from my resume. I’m not sure what they’re looking at that is a turn off, because I know I hit all the major wickets to at least rate an interview. I don’t know where all these high level cleared japanese speakers are but there seems to be a system I’m completely unaware of. Does anyone have any insight on this or known anybody who knows anybody? I am in DC area…
