Me and girlfriend plan on both applying for the JET program when we graduate college. I’m curious from couples experiences the likelihood and the process of both of us getting placed together, or nearby. Some of my confusion stems from my lack of knowledge of how the JET interview process works, and also from people’s comments and posts making it sound like that couples did the interview together. I’ve seen posts giving two stories of unmarried couples (both in JET) placing together, and others saying you must be married. Some of these posts are years old, and looking through post history it seems to shift towards the former scenario in recent years. If anyone has some insight on this topic it would be greatly appreciated 🙂
