I apologize in advance if this is not the appropriate sub to post this, glad to move it to a different one if needed if I can get pointers as to where. I have been using duolingo to learn the characters, and now that I have hiragana and katakana mostly down, I’m back to learning different phrases and have wanted to learn to type it out as well. As I understand the flick keyboard is used, and not qwerty, so I am trying to get used to that as well. When I was trying to type out “Ken is Brazilian.” I had a super hard time getting “ブラジルじん” instead of “ぶらじるじん”. Or the full sentence: “けんさんはブラジルじんです”. When I would press the key to change it to katakana, it would mostly change the front part to Kanji, or else only part of the word for Brazilian. Since it might matter from keyboard to keyboard, I am using the Samsung keyboard (S22 Ultra).
