Is this tuna safe for eating raw or even for sushi ?

first i dont know much about fish,

asked the owner if i could eat it raw because the other employees were scared to tell me because of the risk of food poisoning
(in my country there is no culture of eating any meat raw, it’s really hard to find anyone that knows even what sushi is, there are really few restaurants that makes them in big cities)

he said that there was no risk because it was caught this morning

he explained that the half tuna in the corner of the shop(it’s a relatively small shop) was not there for display but they were cutting it and they just did not finished cutting it yet.

in term of freshness, i think the guy was honest
but i still don’t know if it’s still good for eating raw or even for sushi

and the cutting is really weird

in terms of quality and species i don’t know anything about it the guy told me it was just red tuna . all i know is that it’s red tuna fished in the mediterranean sea, and from what i saw, of what they were cutting it’s a blue fish with a litte of yellow on the fins and tail.

sorry for the bad lighting

(and also sorry for my english am not a native speaker)
