Hey all. Title. Basically, I’ve heard a lot of bad things about tourism in Japan. For the most part, that Japan doesn’t like foreigners at all or tourists in general. I guess the US isn’t any better in that regard honestly. I also hear they don’t like anime fans, especially western ones, and that’s a big reason I’d go there is for merchandise and to visit some places I’ve seen in anime/games, namely Yakushima for one. I honestly don’t want to infringe on them or seem like I’m mocking their culture, and generally don’t want to go somewhere I’m not wanted. I obviously plan to be polite and respectful, as I would be anywhere, but I’m still iffy I guess. If anyone has questions or some things weren’t clear, please let me know, and if these things are true.
