I’m on day 4 of my two week journey in Japan and today I’m in Kanazawa. After visiting the Kenrokuen gardens (a must see!!) I decided to visit the higashi-Chaya district. I found myself wandering around the temple district around 18:30 approaching the sunset and I was blown away. I was basically the only one there apart from a couple locals just amazed at the many many temples in the areas backstreets. Idk if it’s more crowded during the day but I highly recommend visiting in the evening. It was so peaceful and had a beautiful sunset to top it off.
