Hello,
So I need to get rid of some stuff, a bed and a small sofa, all in pristine condition with less than a year of use. I thought it would be a waste to just call the garbage company (plus it would cost money), so I thought I could give it away on Jimoty, and listed them for 0円 for anyone who needs it, as long as they pay for delivery.
Within seconds after posting I got like 5 messages, and overnight I got 50 more, and they all seem to have the exact same text on it which made me suspicious.
“初めまして[NAME]と申します。

取引の日時・場所について、ご希望に合わせますので、お譲りいただきたいです。
ご都合が合わなければ、非対面での取引も可能です。
玄関前などに置いていただければ、商品の状態にかかわらず回収いたします。”
These all look like bots to me, so before I reply to any of them I was wondering if anyone with experience using Jimoty has any tips?
Is this how things normally work on the app?
A lot of these sound like garbage disposal companies using the app to find clients so I’m worried that if I give them the OK they are just gonna try to charge me later.
Also some of them are offering to dissasemble the bed, which would include coming into my place, which is something Jimoty explicitly forbids…
Maybe I’m just thinking to much about this, but I wanted to double check with someone.
Thanks in advance!
[UPDATE]
Thanks everyone, yeah, I didn’t think about template responses, apologies for the silly question.
I was able to get in touch with someone and everything is going smoothly.
