Reading Resource That is Visual and Beginner/Novice Friendly

TL;DR I need a visual material (like manga) that contextualizes the sentences well but also one that doesn’t do “very” stylized japanese (like some manga tend to do). I want fairly normal looking japanese, but restricted to maybe 4-6 kanji max per word – anything more, and it’s hard, 2 kanji word+hiragana is fine. One in so much hiragana/kana is also not desirable since i can’t understand kana much.

I learn by reading texts, and then watching anime or movies. Basically immersion first, then flashcards are only to speed up my first time exposure to new words (since I found out that when I have encountered a word at least once, every subsequent exposure becomes practice).

I learned my first few vocabularies and grammars through a mix of mostly dictionary(digital/handwriting OCR) look ups and intuition(grammar) while reading a manga/paragraph/song.

I want a text material that is visual to contextualize what the sentence is saying. And help learn new vocabularies gently(if possible).

I like animals, medicine, magic, fiction.

I know I can search by myself, I do, I have. I learned initially from reading maybe 2-5 songs, 1-2 fiction manga, listening to 1 series anime (understanding only the gist per sentence (T-T) ), chatting with natives, etc. BUT i think maybe some of the more experienced learners might have found hidden gems –

Here are a few gems i found and use: like imabi(spot on grammar explanations), kanshudo(pitch accent is really helpful to match what i heard in daily life) and auto deck construction, chatpad (try to not be found out as a foreigner game :p).

Thanks!
