Is your JET Programme experience similar to Chris Broads (aka Abroad in Japan)?

Hi all, I’m middle aged (not at all looking to be a JET participant) but have a lot of respect for all that do it and the commitment you all have. Hopefully I’m allowed to ask this sub 2 questions?

1. Having just finished the ‘Abroad in Japan’ book, the JET portion although scary at time sounds awesome, is this similar or vastly different to your experience and why?

2. What have people done after JET ends, I see lots of posts people asking for help but would anybody mind sharing their job role after they leave the scheme and if its in Japan or not. Are you happy?

Thanks so much for any responses, I’m just a nosy brit!
