Having trouble understanding the necessity of subject marking in japanese

I'm understanding this is probably a nitpicking subject but using "wa" in a sentence like (pardon the meme) "omae wa shinderu" seems completely unnecessary. If I were to say "omae shinderu" then it should be completely understood what I mean by vocal inflection or just basic syntax.

Why is "wa" so essential as a subject marker that it is never left out in a sentence like this?
