I wanted to try out living in Japan potentially long term or at least for a year or two. I have a few years of experience in technical recruiting (agency and in-house) in the United States. I am working on passing the JLPT N2 exam, maybe even N1. However, by no means that my Japanese is enough for business or corporate setting at the moment, but I do hope to get to that level someday. If possible, I really want to continue doing recruitment in Japan or any HR related job really. I wanted to see if anyone has experience in HR/recruitment in Japan? What is the likelihood of someone getting hired in the recruitment/HR space without a lot of Japanese? Any tips or thoughts would be appreciated.
