Hi friends,
I’ve budgeted time for 2 day trips from Tokyo, and I’m picking from these 3 options: Hakone, Kamakura, and Nikko.
We will be there the last week of June. We enjoy trying interesting foods, exploring cities by foot, and want cultural experiences like onsens and tea ceremonies, etc.
My understanding is that Kamakura is beautiful, but it’s a lot of temples, and I am concerned going to Kamakura will give us our fill of temples before we even get to Kyoto. Hanoke sounds appealing for the nature and opportunity for an onsen experience, but it sounds like a very popular tourist destination.
Which 2 of these 3 would you suggest we go with? Many thanks in advance!
