I don't have a degree but have been doing software engineering for DoD and robotics for 4 years, and I'm currently comfortable in my workplace. However, I do want to live in Japan to try it our for a year or two. I know that with no degree, its extremely difficult to get work visa and would need like 10 years of experience.
I'm american so there's no working holiday option either. So, I was thinking maybe I can get my degree in Japan to kill to birds with one stone? I was thinking maybe something like aeronautics, or math.
Although, the idea of going back to school sounds a bit annoying but in Japan it could be a good experience?
Or maybe there's another path to living as a software engineer and savings.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
