Late salary payments and tax obligations

I started a new job this week and I'm already on edge.

I was reading the office chat history when I found out that the headquarters in Europe have been consistently late in sending the funds to pay Japan salaries on time every single month for at least the past 2 years. The payday is supposed to be the last business day of each month, but I've seen on average they're finally paid a week or even 10 days later. For instance, as of June 6th, my coworkers haven't been paid their May salary which they should've received on May 31st.

I can't realistically expect this to get any better before I'm set to receive my first salary at the end of this month, so I know this will screw up my finances one way or another. I'm already planning around these delays and I think I can manage that with a bit of tweaking.

However, the cause of my concern and the reason for this post, if salaries are paid late then I have no doubt that taxes and deductions will also be paid late. For reference, my employer will make all deductions from my salary, including residence tax. I'm very worried that this might impact my standing in terms of tax obligations and affect my future visa renewals, or PR/naturalization applications.

Is there something I can do about this?
