Splitting 2 weeks between Osaka and Okinawa?

Hi guys I am in the beginning stages of planning my first trip to Japan and the areas I most want to visit are Osaka and Okinawa.

I am looking at going for 2 weeks, however it's very likely I will have to fly in to Tokyo, so my question is, would 2 weeks between osaka/okinawa be too long and would I be better off to spend a few days in Tokyo first or would you say I can fill 2 weeks easily in those locations?

I am first time traveller I've never been anywhere so sorry if this is a dumb question.
