Hey everyone this is my first time posting here.
Me and 3 friends have VERY spontaneously decided to travel to Japan for 3 weeks in early July from Australia. We chose to go so soon as 2 of the people are starting university at the end of July / beginning of August and we wanted to just bite the bullet and go.
The only problem is from everything I’ve seen online YouTube or online blogs July is one of the worst times to go and people say not to go at all. My friends don’t seem too bothered but I think they’re underestimating how stifling high humidity can be, I’m also concerned about not being able to go out anywhere due to rain pouring down.
We were planning on doing half the trip in Tokyo and half in Osaka and going to a lot of the touristy locations (Universal, Mount Fuji, day trips to Kyoto from Osaka, etc.). I’m just wondering if anyone has been to Japan during July and can share what their experience was like?
Is it really as bad as people say it is? Would it still be worth going even if it is that bad?
I just want to see what people think as we will all be spending pretty much all of our savings to go and just really don’t want to end up having a bad experience.
Thank you for reading 😁✌️
