Hi, looking for recommendations for summer destinations ex. Tokyo during the summer. Will be there with 2 friends who are in Japan for the first time and want to show them something different besides Tokyo. We don't have many days, so for a quick 3d/2n trip I was thinking perhaps staying in Osaka or Kyoto and visiting some sights in those 2 cities (travel by train), or maybe a quick trip for a few days up to Nagano for some cooler temperatures.
Any other recommendations for me to consider would be great. Doesn't need to be outdoor activities, just do something different from the city stuff as we will have a number of days in Tokyo. Thanks!
