I want to renew my passport as it's expiring in 2026, but apparently it says online I can't apply for a renewal unless it's within one year of expiration. I'll also be moving from Japan soon, so I wanted to do it while having an address in Japan. Can I still go and get a new one, or am I forced to wait until next year?
