2044 headline: Japan to abolish rules that still require submission of documents via fax
If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
Just make more floppies. Retro computing enthusiasts (full disclosure: including myself) will appreciate that.
They can’t do that ! ðŸ˜
I have an USB adapter for both the big floppy and the mini one
I even have the Mynaportal IC Card reader so I can, you know, do the stuff online with my Mynamba∼
No I don’t. I’m lying. I don’t have any of that shit.
Oh wow, the guy whose only job it is to get Japan to move on from floppies and faxes has, after almost 2 years in office, finally managed to remove one of the most obvious and biggest hurdles – the government itself requiring their usage.
I mean, I didn’t think he would achieve even this little, so I’m actually positively surprised but really only because my expectations were literally zero.
If you ever feel bad at your job, just look at this guy. Like how did a guy who got mentally stuck in 1980 the job of the digital transformation minister. His biggest contribution to the country during his whole lifetime will be his retirement from any and every public office. Sadly he’s only 61 so he’ll probably keep going for many more years.
Where would you even get a floppy drive now??
I swear that I hear this news for like 15 years by now.
