My now wife had her divorce finalized 2 years ago and managed to obtain half of her abusive ex-husband's pension based on the Employee's Pension Division on Divorce system (she was category 3 dependent during that marriage).
We left Japan earlier this year and had applied for the lump-sum withdrawal for our own pensions respectively, and just today we received an notice on how the grand total that we would be receiving.
For some reason, the amount that my wife would get does not seem to include the pension from her ex-husband though.
Is the amount reallocated to her from her ex withdrawable? Since she's entitled to it, isn't it a no brainer that she would get that as well?
Is there a way to get her lump-sum amount revised by the Japanese Pension Office?
