Greetings. I would need some help about a quite rare case.
I entered the company on a work-holiday visa, and requested a residential status change to have an engineer visa. Fun thing to know about WHV: income tax is 20%, instead of 10% like everyone else, so even thought I had a very thin salary, taxes were heavier than my peers.
I got taxed at that 20% rate during the 3 months I waited for the procedure to be completed. However, I finally got my visa postcard and did the conversion the 6/13. May salary got in my bank account the 6/14, with bonus, and I also got taxed 20% on it.
Is there a way to correct that salary and be taxed the regular 10% on it? Thank you very much.
