  1. I don’t think so. They were already planning to allow some tourists back last November before Omicron. So I am pretty much sure, that they do have a plan now too.
I expect some kind of tourists coming back around GW.
Maybe a travel bubble with Australia 🇦🇺. According to Australian government, they are in talks with Japan about that.

  2. Ah. So I guess my flight to Australia will probably be cancelled due to lack of bookings again.

  3. Hold off until I need to go on a work trip to the US in August. Flying back to Japan, twice now, with an empty plane is damn nice. I booked a lay flat seat on Zipair, but didn’t really need too as there were only 10 people on the plane.

After that, by all means open it up. s/

  4. Lest any unclean gaijin bring the disease. Certainly THEY are the problem.

The collective IQ of the Japanese government aspires to the room temperature range. They’ve failed at every step of this pandemic while being saved by the grace of the Japanese people being sanitary and rule following.

  5. Like I said before and was downvoted by morons. Japan now allows the entry of relatives of residents. What others than tourists they are??
They will do sightseeing, visiting restaurants and bars, buying souvenirs. This is a test ballon from the government, expect more openings under the real name ‘tourists’ from May/June.
