I know this topic has been posted a couple of times, but I would like to ask some opinions about this. I will break contract in March to work as a full-time English teacher still in Japan. I haven’t told my school (high school) because I wasn’t confident with the results of my applications. I got accepted in the new job like 2 weeks ago, and I told my school this week about my plans to leave for the new job in March.
Is it too short of a notice? I feel like I messed up letting them know about it just now. My JTEs knew though since October that I have been job-hunting. They were supportive about it, but I am just worried about the BOE. I am kinda hopeful that it would go smoothly since there have been people in my region before who broke contract in March as well.
Anyone who has the same experience as I have letting your school know around December?
