Going to Japan soon and I just learned about Luup for bike rentals. People online say it’s a great way to get around the city while exploring neighborhoods.
I would love to hear from anyone that has used them. Things like:
- Is their app available in the US AppStore? Can anyone create an account to use the app?
- Is it like in other cities where you rent the bike by scanning a QR code and then return them to another station?
- any idea on the rates?
- does Japan require bike riders to wear helmets? Is that a concern when using Luup?
