I’ve finished MNN 1 and 2 and Genki 1 and 2 and I’ve taught a few of my friends out of the Japanese From Zero textbooks. It was really easy and I didn’t charge them for it or anything. But I think once I get my N3 skills down I want to try to be an actual tutor for beginners, maybe charging like 5 or 10 dollars. I’m just curious for you guys’s opinion. Do you think that would be enough experience to teach the basics for money? Or would you want someone more experienced?

At N3?
You ought to be paying *them*.
I think it’s enough to be a study partner (for free), but if I were a beginner again knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t pay anyone below N1 level to teach me the basics. You’re basically being paid to not know Japanese and teach that lack of knowledge to someone who knows even less.
Can you use は and が correctly?
