Hey, I’ve lived in China for almost 6 years and now am moving to Japan for a year.
My cards from home (Russia) and the UK are expired so the only option for me is to use my Chinese bank cards. I can only take out 5000 usd cash out of China on the plane.
Does anyone have experience using ICBC, Everbright or Postal Savings debit cards in Japan? Or is there another bank I could open an account with so it would definitely work?
I remember my friends had trouble getting money out of their ICBC card when we traveled to Japan right before covid. Chinese Bank support is not super helpful.
