I just found this sentence in my Anki cards today: 今日は私駅前で買い物して帰ります
And I actually translated it perfectly, put all the words together right. . . except for the last one. What purpose does the 「帰ります」serve in this sentence? I put it the whole thing into Deepl and removing it just changes it from ‘*Went* shopping’ to ‘*Going* shopping’, but 帰ります means ‘To Return’ right? So how does that make sense?
